There is a revolution going on - a revolution in shaped beads! And part of that revolution is these rice-shaped beads - though to me - laying there on the table - they look like a school of little fishies. Rizos - rice in Esperanto - which has got to be the first bead name derived from Esperanto - are a small, rounded drop bead that can be worked into your bead weaving projects, used as drop beads or fringe, or just generally used to add texture and interest! And they come in a dazzling selection of colours, and our selection just got more dazzling to the tune of 42 new colours and effects. Rizos are the brain-child of Sabine Lippert - who also is also responsible for O beads. Which we also have - and have more coming soon too!
We are now well into the Chinese zodiacal year of the horse - but anyone who knows me knows that every year is the year of the horse. Also, the year of the dog, the cat, and the dragon. But that's besides the point. This being the year of the horse has made it suddenly easier to find really fabulous horse-themed stuff. Such as these wonderful carved stone horse pendants.
We have some really interesting stone items this week. Cabochons - which make great focal points for those of you looking to bead around something. Check out this great Larimar, and this new stone (new to us, anyway,) Phosphosiderite - which is this drop-dead gorgeous colour. We also got some lovely Kyanite, and some Chrysocolla,
and look at this Lapis! Oh, my word! Can you beat that blue?
Check them all out in Stone Cabochons.
So click on a link or image above, or get started with all the new items here and get beading!
