Lucite and Alcohol - an FYI
A heads up to all of you lucite fans. Be careful not to expose your lucite beads to alcohol, this means perfume sprays, trying to colour them with alcohol inks (Guilty!), and even some essential oils. Patchouli being a definite culprit. I would avoid wearing non-alcohol based perfumes as well. Perfumes are made with either fragrance oils, or essential oils - both need to be stored in glass, as they break down plastic. If patchouli is a problem, I'm sure other oils are just as much of a culprit.
Lucite dissolves in alcohol. While small exposure to the odd perfume spray may not have an immediate effect, it can change or fade the colours, and will over time break down.
