Tough Stuff — Duracoat & Iron Zebras

Well, another year done, and a new one begun. Time to get tough with the year - get it off to a good start - don't let it get away with anything. Tough Love.

Delicas - Galvanize your creations with the new, improved Duracoat Galvanized Delicas. Duracoat is a new, more durable metallic coating for Delicas. In the past - the metallic galvanized coating has been subject to wearing off - or as the packages say "Subject to wear with friction." 

These new, uber-metallic beads promise to be more durable. And it's tough not to love the brilliant, metallic colours from Red Gold to Eggplant! 

What is black and white and wrinkle-free? Why - an Ironed Zebra, of course! Or - more specifically - Iron Zebra Jasper. Which is not black and white at all - but IS unwrinkled. 

This is a very handsome stone - in shades of cream, honey, caramel and chocolate. Mmmm - tough to resist! And you can see it showcased in this week's inspirations, as a pair of earrings and a necklace - which are a set - but we've shown them as two separate projects so that we could put in more step by step photos. 

The necklace also highlights the newish finding - the Bead Bandit - which is a crimp cover and end-loop combined! Available in Gold- and Silver-plated. More innovative new findings to come in the weeks ahead!

Speaking of the weeks ahead - the renovations to the new place are happening like mad - contractors all complaining that they can't do "this" until "that" is done. Flooring, paint, wall coverings, display cases - all madly trying to get done at once. We'll keep you posted!
