Now THIS is a Graphic Example!
Now this is what I'm talking about! Serious bling! This is a graphic example of ... well - Swarovski's new Graphic Pendant!
New in the line up of new shapes and styles is the new (can I get the word new in here a few more times?) Graphic pendant. Taking the style of the existing Graphic bead - a handsome, flattish, faceted ovalish oblong with the corners whacked off - this new shape is a little curvier, and, with a front to back hole, designed to hang. I find them particularly evocative of faceted gemstones, and I'm plotting how I can use them in some truly stunning necklace that conjures up princesses and palaces.
More of the new Swarovski Denim Blue has come in too - including the Euro-style large hole beads for the Pandora/Troll style bracelets. If you have a collector on your Christmas list - then one of these could make a thoughtful and easy gift!
At the other end of the spectrum, if you just can't let go of summer and still want to make a few floral designs to remind yourself of summer days gone by - then check out some new lucite flowers! These are as light as a feather, so you can pile them on! Although really - the fall so far has been pretty decent - Not digging this "dark at 4:30 thing" though!
Big Bails Baby!
I love big bails for hanging pendants - something large enough to fit onto a large chain or ribbon or maybe chain mail or knitted wire! These are a great find - inexpensive and a classic look!
Bead Bandits!
Here's a HOT new product - Bead Bandits! The name makes no sense - but it doesn't matter. What matters is what it is - which is a new and clever way to hide your crimps (see instructions) and make the ends of your creations look professional and neat! It is a tube, with a screw-on end, with a little hole in the centre of the screw. Thread the screw onto your beading wire or cable at the end, then add the crimp and crush the crimp to secure it. Then screw the screw-end into the tube, and you are done! The crimp is hidden inside the tube - the tube has a loop built into the end, to attach a jumpring and a clasp or whathaveyou - and you are good to go! In silver plated and gold-plated.
Seasonal Stuff
We've been asking "Making or Buying?" in our monthly contest, and there sure are a lot of you making this year - lots of knitting, sewing and jewelry-making going on! Many offer the caveat that it's a lot harder to make stuff for the guys (get some ideas about that here!) and the little kids - well - they just want the commercially made toys.
To make it a little easier, we're collecting the holiday-themed stuff in one handy location for the season, along with a list of past holiday inspirations - just to get you going!
And, if you have a fund-raiser coming up - you might want to check out this week's inspiration - great to make and sell for charity, or maybe even have a little party and invite your friends and co-workers and show them how to make them and then donate for a little fund-raising auction!
Other assorted goodies, old and new, around the site, so go ahead, click on a link or a picture above, or start with the Main Page, if you are feeling intrepid, (there is a LOT of stuff there), or chunk it down into bite-size portions by checking out the categories: Click on a link and go crazy! Firepolish, Pressed Glass, Swarovski Crystal, Seedbeads, Stone and Pearls, Preciosa Crystal, Metal Beads, Other Cool Beads, Findings, Metal Clay & Supplies or Books, Kits, Tools. Look for the "new" tags!
Or maybe check out all our free, yes, free projects. A new one every week.

Ooh, I want some Bead Bandits! Are they going to come in sterling?
We haven't seen them from the wholesalers in sterling yet - I suspect they might be waiting to see how popular they are before committing to having them made in sterling - or maybe they are on their way. You can be sure that we will carry them in sterling when they become available - cuz if nothing else - we want them too!
