Together with Swarovski’s own trend, design and product management experts, Gaultier developed the spectacular Kaputt Collection exclusively for Swarovski. Like its name, the German word for “broken,” already suggests, the collection presents a technological innovation that deliberately breaks with convention. It celebrates the appeal of being different and unpredictable, which, according to the designer, is much more exciting than the precise and perfect.Description: Broken and raw, but elegant at the same time, the Kaputt design captivates with distinctively irregular, partly unpolished, or frosted surfaces that give it an all natural, almost meteoritic appearance. It comes in rich, shimmering metallic colors as well as classics, such as Crystal and Crystal AB. CRYSTAL SCARABAEUS GREEN DESIGNED BY JEAN PAUL GAULTIER
Design Story: Expressing his desire for an exclusive effect that would match his Kaputt Collection, haute couture icon Jean Paul Gaultier developed Crystal Scarabaeus Green together with a team of experts from Swarovski. For his effect he wanted this precise scintillating shade of green, combined with the mythological shimmer of the Egyptian scarab. Description: Aptly named, Crystal 
Scarabaeus Green evokes the magic glow of the scarab, shimmering in green, blue, and purple with a metallic luster that combines bright and shadowy facets to create a stunningly graphic surface. Look: With its beetle-like glow, Crystal Scarabaeus Green lends itself perfectly to nature-inspired and bold eco-designs. It powerfully mimics nature and sets a rebellious statement for any eco-warrior. However, its shiny surface also evokes an otherworldly appearance that echoes futuristic, stellar avant-garde looks.
