It
is the beginning of the month, and so we
introduce you
to our featured stone for August - Dragon Blood Jasper. If you've been shopping
with us a while - this may sound familiar to you - as it was our featured stone
for January, 2010 as well. 
However
- this shipment of Dragon's Blood Jasper (yeah - Dragon, Dragon's - it
gets spelled every-which-way) is more refined in appearance - with a tighter
grain and less blotchy - leaning more to the dragon green and less to the
reds and browns. I think this batch is more attractive actually. A few
of the shapes are new - but we've updated
the photos for all of them -
so you know what you are getting! 
The
stone of the month may be an Australian Jasper - but for me, the stone of
the Millennium is - well - Austrian Crystal! Or, any honkin' big Faceted Swarovski
Crystal. Although - if I had to vote

this Aqua
Glacier Blue rectangle (Article 4627) would
surely be a top contender. We have a stunning selection of 31
new Fancy Rhinestones. These are big, dramatic stones, full of colour
and light! Like a dark, dramatic look? Check out Crystal

And what is better than an amazing and totally fabulous Swarovski
crystal stone? Well - two of them, of course - but what I was actually thinking,
in this case, is a Swarovski Crystal Stone in a Prong mount for that totally
professional look!

Set Stone mounts! Simply match the article number of the stone to the
mount, and away you go! Each Mount has 4 holes for stringing or wiring or
sewing onto fabric, or you can glue them into place. Then drop the stone
into position, and gently fold the prongs down over the stone to secure it
in place - with the end result looking like professionally-made, fine jewelry.

from our existing stock that will fit these mounts too - you may already
have some! Just match up the 4 digit article number, and double check
the size!)

Over in the what-is-new-and-fabulous-in-hot-fix department
- Crystal Rock. This is an applique that is hundreds of tiny little faceted
gem-like crystals, all embedded on a carrier layer, that you can affix in
one fell swoop.
Incidentally - nothing says that you HAVE to hot-fix this
- you could - for instance - just glue it onto, oh, say, your cell phone,
tablet, laptop, heck - purse, shoes, hat, leather jacket.
And these ancient-looking
8 mm seedbeads have been causing
a buzz on our facebook page! They really do look like old trade-beads - but
smaller!
And
for those looking for a tube clasp with a bar, instead of rings - we have
- da-da-dah! - Trombones!
