We have a lot more coming up in the next couple of weeks (see the site for all of the details), but I wanted to mention a few of the new classes we have coming up this month.
First, we have Pam Kearn's peyote class, I've Learned Peyote...Now What? Using a simple even-weave pattern, participants will learn how to read peyote patterns and make pattern adjustments. The course will also cover how to estimate length and width from patterns when using delica beads. It will also touch on how you can create your own patterns. This class runs on Thursday August 27th from 6:30 to 9pm and again on Sunday September 13th from 1:30 to 4 pm.
As many may know, Heather Bell-Denison has become a Senior Certified Art Clay Instructor recently. She has begun to teach the Level One Certification courses at Beadfx (the next one runs from October 2-5) and is now offering some new intermediate level classes as well.
Getting Hitched...Metal Clay Clasps will run on Saturday August 29th from 10 to 5pm. Heather will be teaching students a 4 different ways to make clasps, including magnetic clasps! Please note the typo on the time, it reads 9 to 6pm, but should be 10 to 5pm. Some metal clay experience required.
Sunday August 30th is the next class, Metal Clay Fusion. This is a fusing class that will focus on making chain using metal clay pieces and fine silver wire; students should have some experience with metal clay.
Don't forget about Happy Hour Torching this Thursday from 5 to 9pm, buy one hour get one free.
A reminder about the Fabric Sale on Friday August 7th from 11 to 3pm, $1.00 a yard--who can beat that!! It is for a great cause, see Dwyn's blog post from August 2nd for all of the details.
Happy Beading
