February isn't short on Great Classes

February auroras in Scandinavian mountains
February may only have 28 days, but we've packed in a lot of classes and great learning opportunities!

We are extremely happy to have Leslee Frumin with us for two classes! Beginners and experienced metal workers will enjoy her Falling Leaf Pendant class! Beginners will have the opportunity to learn the soldering, annealing and more; students with experience will be able to further hone their skills while creating a beautiful pendant with Leslee. Intermediate level beaders will have a choice of which project to do in Crystal Ovals Galore, whether it be a bracelet, a necklace or rings. As a special offer, all registered students in the class will be able to purchase additional instructions for the other projects for a nominal $10 per project. Can't attend the class but would like to meet Leslee? Come on out to a Meet and Greet being held in her honour. All are welcome!

Of course there are other new classes! Maria Rypan's Czech It Out! class will teach you how to incorporate various two-hole beads to create a bracelet or earrings. Angela Peace takes Cavandoli knotting in a new direction to create a cuff. Students in Deborah Beesley's Free-form Wire Pendant 'Musette' class will learn how to incorporate wire and beads and Roxann Blazetich-Ozols will teach you how to use interesting yarns and other fibres to create two kinds of fibre 'ropes' or 'Scarflaces' (a cross between a scarf and a necklace!). Amy Waldman-Smith is teaching Raking and Masking techniques - a wonderful opportunity for intermediate to advanced lampworkers!

Iris Rogers Melamed is offering an afternoon Hot Connections 1: Intro to Soldering class for the first time! More daytime soldering classes will be added if demand it there! If this is something you would like to continue, please let Iris or Pam (BeadFX's class coordinator) know. Iris is also leading an Open Metal Studio: Soldering the same date; this is a great opportunity to work on your soldering projects and get help with tips and techniques from Iris.
