Think Pink
Did you hear the one about the lady who went into a pet store,
looking for an exotic cat for a pet? The sales clerk brings out a rather
scruffy-looking
poodle-mix. He's obviously been the experimental subject of a mad grooming
student, as he has been clipped into a bizarre shape, and dyed a bright,
fluorescent pink. The poor old beast is over-weight and sits there, looking
morose, wheezing and panting. "My goodness," says the customer, "I don't
think that will do. For one thing, it's a dog."
"No ma'am," say the sale clerk, "That's a gen-u-wine h'exotic
cat. It's a Pink Panter."
This month's Stone
of the Month is Rhodonite. Rhodonite is
a lovely rose pink stone with black matrix, and some grey and cream. Perfect
for making something summery!
And speaking of summery and pink, check out Jen's pink
and summery floral necklace. Perfect complement to a summer day!
More of the new Swarovski colours - and if you are still thinking
pink - Some Rose
Peach hearts anyone?
Not
just Rose Peach, but quite a few new hearts. For instance, these Comet
Argent Light Wild Hearts glitter with the icy coldness of a polar
night.
And
these Vitrail
Medium Hearts are a veritable Joseph's coat
of colours.
And,
of course, the other new-comer to the Swarovski stable - Luminous
Green -
a rather ethereal and misty shade of green. You could certainly load up on
the symbolism with "green hearts" - green for envy ... .
Lots
of symbolism potential too in Bermuda
Blue hearts. Blue for sad. Or, go with the more upbeat Bermuda angle.
"I'm making this Bermuda Blue Necklace to remind myself of my dream to vacation
in Bermuda."
Or, you can just revel in how amazingly stunningly gorgeous
they are and symbolism be d4mned. ;-)
