6 Ways to Cool Off with Swarovski Crystals

Hot enough for you? Here we are, first official day of summer - and while those of you out on the coast have been having a cool one, here in the interior of the continent - we have been having a run of waaaarm weather. The sort of sticky humidity that has you inventing new ways to stay cool. Because it's that or start hallucinating.

The gals in the store tell me that the "Swarovski Corner" is the coolest 27756211055401 Swarovski Elements Bead - 18 mm Twist (5621) - Crystal Vitrail Medium (1)part of the store - which is, at the moment, less about how awesome the beads are and more about how the air conditioning is blowing a lot harder right there. Nevertheless - here are 6 ways to stay cool with Swarovskis!

1 - 18 mm Twist in Crystal Vitrail Medium - back when I collected Vintage Jewelry - we called these pink-and-green beads Watermelon beads. Imagine you are sitting by the pool, eating big, cool slices of watermelon and spitting the seeds at your brother.

27756211055301 Swarovski Elements Bead - 18 mm Twist (5621) - Comet Argent Light (1)2 - Alternately - the 18 mm twist in Comet Argent Light - Comets are mostly made of ice. Ice is cool. Oooo - sparkly ice!

27750401016724 Swarovski Elements Bead - 6 mm Faceted Donut (5040) - Fern Green / Topaz Blend (1)3 - Donuts in Fern Green / Topaz Blend. Imagine walking through a cool forest - ferns growing around your feet - shafts of golden sunlight filtering down through the trees. Cool and refreshing, isn't it?

27753012569262 Swarovski Elements Bead - 10 mm Faceted Xilion Bicone (5328) - Rose Peach (1)4 - Rose Peach - Picture this - you are standing in a garden - an old cottage garden - climbing roses are rambling up an old stone wall, their scent is heavy on the air. At the bottom of the garden there is a gnarled old peach tree with huge, heavy fruit. The soft, fuzzy skin is warm and yeilding and the juice runs down off your chin and makes your fingers sticky and sweet. Summer, at it's best.

27757548001262 Swarovski Elements Bead - 8 mm Faceted Butterfly (5754) - Rose Peach (1)5 - Butterflies - Soft gentle breezes and butterflies flickering past. Hopefully we can get that fractal butterfly in China to flap his wings a few times and change our weather. But just to cooler - we don't need a tornado or a hurricane.

27756211008001 Swarovski Elements Bead - 14 mm Twist (5621) - Crystal Luminous Green (1)6 - More twists - in Crystal Luminous Green. Because this is just an inherently cool colour. Like being underwater - like a fish at the bottom of a pond - watching anglers make fools of themselves up above.

If, however, you'd rather be hot, hot, hot - then check s33064 Glass Beads - 8 mm Baby Spikes - 24 Karat Gold Plated (6)out - More New Spikes! These beads are hot - and we have some hot new metallic colours and a new size - 8 mm Baby Spikes!

So whether you are hot to be cool, or too cool for school, you can cool off with our beads. We recommend coming and standing in our Swarovski corner - or ordering them online from the cool comfort of your home, so that our order-picking staff have a good reason to stand in the Swarovski corner. They look kind of funny there without their clipboards and baggies - just milling around and pushing to be directly under the air vent.
