6 Ways to Cool Off with Swarovski Crystals

Hot enough for you? Here we are, first official day of summer - and while those of you out on the coast have been having a cool one, here in the interior of the continent - we have been having a run of waaaarm weather. The sort of sticky humidity that has you inventing new ways to stay cool. Because it's that or start hallucinating. 

The gals in the store tell me that the "Swarovski Corner" is the coolest part of the store - which is, at the moment, less about how awesome the beads are and more about how the air conditioning is blowing a lot harder right there. Nevertheless - here are 6 ways to stay cool with Swarovskis!

1 - 18 mm Twist in Crystal Vitrail Medium - back when I collected Vintage Jewelry - we called these pink-and-green beads Watermelon beads. Imagine you are sitting by the pool, eating big, cool slices of watermelon and spitting the seeds at your brother. 

2 - Alternately - the 18 mm twist in Comet Argent Light - Comets are mostly made of ice. Ice is cool. Oooo - sparkly ice! 

3 - Donuts in Fern Green / Topaz Blend. Imagine walking through a cool forest - ferns growing around your feet - shafts of golden sunlight filtering down through the trees. Cool and refreshing, isn't it? 

4 - Rose Peach - Picture this - you are standing in a garden - an old cottage garden - climbing roses are rambling up an old stone wall, their scent is heavy on the air. At the bottom of the garden there is a gnarled old peach tree with huge, heavy fruit. The soft, fuzzy skin is warm and yeilding and the juice runs down off your chin and makes your fingers sticky and sweet. Summer, at it's best. 

5 - Butterflies - Soft gentle breezes and butterflies flickering past. Hopefully we can get that fractal butterfly in China to flap his wings a few times and change our weather. But just to cooler - we don't need a tornado or a hurricane. 

6 - More twists - in Crystal Luminous Green. Because this is just an inherently cool colour. Like being underwater - like a fish at the bottom of a pond - watching anglers make fools of themselves up above.
