You'll be amused by this sweet but fruity little number!

The Red sisters, Cherry and Pepper, had just moved to Toho Town. They bought a nice little house over on 6/0 street. They are planning to take advantage of the Sunshine Yellow, and grow a garden with Cornflower, Metallic Moss, some lovely hanging Wisteria Lustre, and a Matte Metallic Plum Iris tree.

Cherry loved to cook too, and she was thinking of opening a candy store. "Pepper," she said, "I love Chocolate Brown and Light Cream Lustre. If I take my saved Nickel, and open a shop, will you help me?"

"Hmmm," said Pepper, "Do you think we could sell Silver Lined Grapes and Galvanized Limes?" 

"I think we could do that," said Cherry. "A candied fruit store! How perfect! And we could sell online all over the world and have Milky Mango and Milky Nutmeg too! Let's do it." So they counted up their Metallic Copper Penny Hybrids, and soon found that after moving to Toho Town, they didn't have enough left to rent a store front and buy inventory.

"Oh dear," said sweet Cherry. "Our dream business will sink like a Crystal Sunset into a Crystal Lagoon if we can't raise some Silky Gold." Fiery Pepper had a temper like a Crystal Volcano, and when she thought of her sister being unhappy, it made her burn with the rage of a thousand Inside-Colour Sun Glows.

So she called their Aunt, Poppy Red. "Aunty Poppy," she said. "Cherry and I want to open a candied fruit shop and call it 'Orange U Sweet?'"

"Aren't you the Smartie(tm)!" replied Poppy. "I think that's a Hot Pink idea."

"Well," said Pepper, "We're a little short of Bronze to do it with though. Could you lend us some Old Gold?"

Poppy thought for a minute. She had been saving for a trip to the Silver Lined Milky Amazon, but then she thought, "If I invest in their business, then there will be money enough later for all of us to Jet to the beach and enjoy the Galvanized Sea Mist and see the world through Colour Lined Rose/Crystal glasses."

"All right," she said. I have some Matte Galvanized Yellow Gold that I have been saving, but I want to be a partner in this business. You can call it the 'Dragon Claws.' " Pepper and Cherry happily agreed, and so Poppy moved in with them, and they soon opened their shop - adorned with a Inside-Colour Neon Pink and Inside Colour Neon Orange sign.

They had their ups and downs, like the time they overcooked the fruit and had Silver Lined Burnt Orange, and then there was the whole Metallic Olive thing, but still, it was like finding a pot of Galvanized Yellow Gold at the end of the Colour Lined Coral Crystal Rainbow and they were always Gladiola that they did it!

Busy weeks ahead here for November - The Toronto Bead Society Fall Fair this weekend, Saturday next is our own Trunk Show - (handcrafted beads and components: November 15 , 11:00 am to 4 p.m.) - you'll definitely want to check out that!
