I don't know, I really don't. I saw a friend change her facebook cover image
to "Spring - download failed. Spring not available in your Country." I
think she has a point. Especially with the forecast for the weather later
today and this coming weekend. Urgh. (Rain, Hail, Ice Storms they are calling
for. Late afternoon traffic mayhem. Expect power failures.)
So, you can stare disconsolately out the window and riffle through your stacks
of gardening catalogues, or you can be pro-active. Pour yourself a margarita,
position a large lamp over your creative spot (to simulate warmth and bright
sunlight) and come wander through our gardens of glass!
First to appear, of course, are leaves. We have some wild and fiery Mango
Blood Orange leaves, which, you know - now that I think about it - are probably
left over from the fall!
Ah
- see - now this is a fresh, poking out of the ground, "is it spring yet?"
colour! A real Chartreuse
Poison Green colour that screams "Spring!"
And these are the leaves that you
find under that pot that blew into the corner
back in November. They've had no light - but the extra shelter has given them
a head-start! You know that soon enough - they will start to green
up!

And then, before you know it - it will be spring
flowers! The Crab Apples will burst out in their pink glory,
little
blue or even turquoise flowers
will
poke out their heads, and we'll be well on our way to spring! Finally!

Then, after a day of contemplating the flowers, it will
be nice to just sit back and watch the Amber
Sunset, with a nice glass of Root
Beer, by the Mossy
Stream.

new beads this week!
