Picture this - a wind-swept hill on green promontory of a land so rich and fair that life itself seems blessed. A lonely figure stands there - facing out to sea - the wind streams up to meet her from the shore below - carrying the cries of sea birds, the scent of rotting seaweed, and something else - the scent of change. And like the wind and the sea itself - there is no turning it aside.
Cultures come and go - but their
art lives on, because without their art - we'd never know they were here. Can you imagine what future archaeologists will think when they dig up our treasured creations - our elaborate bead weavings, loomings and strung creations? They will think that we were exalted above all in our culture. I personally plan to be buried with all my jewelry. It's going to take a fork-lift to move the coffin. ;-)
These ceramic beads evoke cultures that have come and gone and been absorbed.

Consider these
Celtic Knotwork Beads - made from an unglazed, high-temperature fired clay. They are exquisite in their simplicity, and would make a fine focal point, or an accent in a larger theme.

Or how about this much more colourful
Ceramic Pendant - Celtic Triskele Bead in Matte Raku. The three-armed Triskele is loaded with symbolism: motion, cycles, energies, progress, competition; spirit-mind-body; life-death-rebirth; past-present-future, to list just a few. And look at those colours!

And if you want to invoke days-that-never-were ... how about this raku
Dragon vessel? The wings curve up and form two holes - so you can

wear this as a pendant - with or without the tiny little (included) cork. Or this
dragon, which is more of a western dragon than an Asian dragon.
Shooting straight from the past and into the future - the

future of bright colour and high-tech understanding of faceting!
