Well - here in the old T.O. - the Pan Am games open tomorrow - We'll be cheering for Canada ... and you can cheer for our go-for-the-gold sale on gold findings and etc!
All of us here in Toronto anticipate that traffic will be gruesome, however. Time to work from home, head to the cottage and SHOP ONLINE.
One way we can celebrate our Canadian-ness is with this totally adorable Moose charm (or pendant) This sterling moose (not to be confused with Stirling Moss - who once said - "It is necessary to relax your muscles when you can. Relaxing your brain is fatal.") would look great on a Canada-themed charm bracelet, or a wilderness-themed bracelet, or a bad-pun themed bracelet. (Chocolate Mousse anyone?)
Or maybe you are a Monty Python fan. In which case - this Norwegian Blue parrot charm is right up your alley. (It's just resting ... )
And my fellow dog enthusiasts will enjoy the choice of Sterling Silver GSDs, Collies, or even foxes. (Wilderness-theme bracelet?) You know - if Timmie's family had a german shepherd, Timmie would never have fallen down the well in the first place.
You can check out all the new hand-picked sterling charms/pendants here, or investigate Dragons, Horses, Dogs, or Cats.
But kvetching about the Pan Am games traffic aside - it is time to shine. Don't hide your light under a basket - shine by any means you can! (Including the dashboard light if you have to!) 16 new shapes and sizes of this Swarovski crystal which flashes magenta or green, depending on the angle of the light. Click on an image below to go directly to that bead, or explore all the Crystal Paradise Shine here.
Or - you can "spike one in the end-zone" - that's a sports term, right? - with these Swarovski Spike pendants. Didn't think I could tie Swarovski into football, did you? Lots of new colours and sizes in these.
And if a single spike isn't spikey enough - how about the double spike beads! They are even sort of football-shaped.
The metallic ones make me think of Thor's hammer. You could probably make dangling Hammer earrings ... hmmmm.
Yo - Lampworkers - New issue of the Flow, and the previous one too - which we somehow forgot to get online. Also - replacement heads for the bead reamers. Cuz - you can re-use the handle ... .
So all in all - lots of fun new stuff to see and especially if you are spending the week at home and out of traffic!
If you are visiting Toronto for the games and need a sparkle fix, and want to come into the best bead store in all of
