May Classes are 'Springing' Up!

The blossoms are finally coming out and the new season is arriving! It feels so good to kick off the shoes and put on the sandals.

The latter half of May's classes features lots of NEW classes including Anne Marie Desaulnier's Altered Dominos II; and Pamela Kearns with the Double Braid Bracelet (being taught with permission from Virginia Jensen's book Stitching with Two-Hole Shaped Beads). Marilyn Gardiner is back with two new chainmaille weaves: Triple Threat and Japanese Stepping Stones bracelets. By popular demand, Angela Peace is featuring an updated class to teach beaded kumihimo. Finally, our own Kelly Garland will be sharing her skills with metalworks while teaching a Sterling Dome Bracelet.

Of course, we have lots of classes that are being repeated, so if you missed them the first time around, you have another chance to learn that special technique! Of special note, Iris Rogers Melamed's Open Metal Studio: Soldering that was cancelled due to a death in the family has been rescheduled so you haven't missed out on working on your soldering project! Also, don't miss out on our second session on Open Metal Studio: Metal Clay with Liz Reynolds. This is a great opportunity to work on any metal clay projects with guidance from an accredited instructor.

A big and grateful THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered to make jewellery for the Corsage Project! Several Open Bead Nights and Afternoon Bead Teas generated lots of jewellery plus donations of pieces from our staff and customers allowed us to provide 38 jewellery sets; 79 pairs of earrings; 12 bracelets and 13 necklaces to the Corsage Project. Again, thank you all so much!
