Hi all,
I didn't get much of a chance to actually get any jewelry made this week. I've been highly distracted with making little copper bits, and adding various patina's to them. I've showed them off enough, so I'll spare you from having to look at them again. ;-)
One thing I've been playing with especially is heat patinas. I'll try to get a little video done next week to show you how it's done. I finally started to get some absolutely amazing colours and peacock effects.
For a stunning example of a heat treated copper/mixed media - I found this on the Kuriosities blog, where you can read about the creation. Lovely!
We would love to have you show off your stuff! We're you inspired this past week by anything? Send us pics of your creation to info@beadfx.com with the subject line "Inspiration Friday"
Have a great March Madness weekend!

Inspiration Friday
If you would like to participate in our Inspiration Friday posts and get some free publicity...Come on people - free publicity is good! It really can be anything at all, as long as you were inspired from the post to make something. It should be new.
Once you've got it made, send us a picture and we'll post it here. Submissions should be sent to info@beadfx.com with the subject line "Inspiration Friday" There is no timeline, so please don't worry about trying to complete it within a week. If you have a blog, or an etsy (or similar) site - we'll post a link to your site if you wish.
We have a submission this week from Jeannie Galt who has been getting ready for the holidays with these cute little snowmen earrings - and worry dolls! Thanks Jeannie
Good thing Jeannie had something, as I'm still working on mine for this week!

Inspiration Fridays
We've got a couple creations to show this week! Both were inspired by last weeks sea/crab pic

Andree made this fabulous bracelet. I love this!
I made a metal clay, and fine silver bail for a couple lampwork beads I made recently. Although I didn't make them specifically for this project, I think they fit in quite nicely. Then, I attached some twisty fine silver wire that was balled up on both ends.
If you have made anything, but haven't yet had a chance to submit it yet (not done yet). That's ok, feel free to send it whenever it's done!
