Show your Metal ...

Deja vu all over again. A new year - and ... I'm pretty sure I'm recycling that headline. And for that matter - this week's theme is another big stash of metal beads and stuff.

However - the delight is in the details. Yes - more metal. But not the same metal. And I don't have to explain to you that a bead is not a bead is not a bead.

For instance - new Stardust beads - that fine granular texture surface, in Bright Silver and Bright Gold and a darker silver that falls into the Gunmetal family. Both shiny and matte at the same time - and with crimps to match.

There is a new bunch of Tierracast metal beads (you knew that you could shop by brand-name on our site, didn't you? Of course, in some cases, like Swarovski - it really doesn't narrow down your choices much!)

If you are feeling like making something dark - then the dark Metal Noir might spark some ideas - from butterflies to crimp tubes to headpins.

If you need bailing out - then these heart-shape, glue-on bails could work.

And if you are just winging it - then these Antique Copper small angel wings might be just the thing.
And even some new items in the lampwork accessories - these "aligners" are designed to step down the size of the largish holes in lampwork beads so that when you string them next to other, regular, mortal beads - then they don't slop around on the beading wire.
