Cafe Turquoise
by: Pam Kearns
Cafe au Lait with a Dash of Turquoise!
Browns don't usually talk to me but the Matte Outback Wood Jasper stones are exquisite! I teams them up with a couple of styles of glass beads and added some washer spacers for brightness. Needing some colour, I added just a bit of turquoise. While the stringing is a straightforward technique, the variety of shapes, colours and textures give it some pizzazz; great for all and into winter!
Necklace stringing pattern:
- from the end, use a wire guardian, and secure with a crimp to the clasp, and add a crimp cover
- 2 x 10 mm jasper, 1 washer, 2 x 10 mm jasper, 1 gold washer, 1 turq rondelle, 1 gold washer, 2 x 10 mm jasper, 1 washer, 1 lentil, 1 washer, 2 x 10 mm jasper, 1 washer, 1 navette
- Carry on with 1 washer, 2 x 10 mm jasper, 1 washer, 1 lentil, 1 washer, 2 x 10 mm jasper, washer, turq, washer, 3 x 10 mm jasper, washer, turq, washer, 3 x 10 mm jasper, washer, lentil, washer, 2 x jasper, washer, navette. Now you are at the centre, so repeat the pattern in reverse back to the end, crimp, other half of the clasp, etc.
- Total length with the clasp is about 26.5 inches.
- Same idea, clasp, jasper, washer, turquoise, washer, 2 x jasper, washer, lentil, washer, 2 x jasper, washer, turquoise - that is the middle bead, so reverse order to finish.
