Some weekend!

Well, I had some fabulous posts lined up in the queue for some great ideas on how to work with lampwork beads. They were in edit mode as I wanted to get some photography done, then my kid broke out in spots...lots of them. I've spent the last few days dousing her in calamine lotion, and giving her cold baths to prevent her from scratching herself. Turns out it was hives brought on by some unknown virus. All is well and good now....finally! Unfortunately, my fabulous post will have to wait a day or two while I catch up. In the meantime, here's some links to some fabulous lampwork beads to purchase or just give yourself your daily dose of eye candy.

We'll start with our fabulous Dwyn. Our webmaster and lampwork instructor.

Dwyn has a personal site called Dragonjools. She's known for her over the top, more is more approach to jewellery design.

She also writes a neat blog about testing lampwork glass. She gets to play with all the new toys! - http://dragonjools.blogspot.com

One of my favourite beadmakers (I actually have a lot of favourites!) is Michael Barley. http://www.barleybeads.com - He uses a Japanese glass called Satake, which has some wonderful colours, and is melted in a special air torch.

Another of my favourites is Helen, from HelensHarvest. I don't yet own one of her beads, mainly because I simply can't decide which one. I kind of want them all! - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5292785

That's it for today. I need to get to the shop!
