Measuring the circumference - well - that would be hard work! Not going there! ;-)dragonjoolshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02694253446479395485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22215220.post-5643242271100716032011-11-11T11:48:08.269-05:002011-11-11T11:48:08.269-05:00Hi,

A nice big bead :-)

When we measure beads, it's common practice to measure the diameter of the bead.

I hope this helps! And of course I wish you the best in your new highly addictive hobby ;-)jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14783446456485814624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22215220.post-41902264114498119382011-11-11T10:27:49.468-05:002011-11-11T10:27:49.468-05:00Help! I'm new to beading and am having a horrible time trying to understand the size of the beads.

For example the new, flat, pointed, oval bead is described as being 20 mm so I'm assuming that it's approx. 3/4" high. Is that right? Cause that seems big, no?

I don't know if I'm explaining myself very well but I guess what I need to know is this: When describing a round beads is the 20 mm the CIRCUMFERENCE (distance around a circle)or is it the DIAMETER (distance across a circle).

Thank you for any help you can give my poor beleagured little brain!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22215220.post-68084236479786813642011-11-10T21:52:22.267-05:002011-11-10T21:52:22.267-05:00Tx.
