There are families, some who may be our neighbours, who wonder where they are going to get money to buy basic groceries, let alone gifts. Having to choose between food and rent, what bill can be put off yet again? It's a hard struggle anytime, but especially at this time of year, with so many unrealistic expectations.
As Dwyn wrote last year, "It's frighteningly easy to wind up there, and harder still to climb back out. It's not going to be a Merry Christmas for them."
We are pleased to announced that once again we will be lending a helping hand by collecting food donations for The Daily Bread Food Bank*. We are collecting non-perishable items from now until December 21.
In the spirit of Christmas, let's share our good fortune and take a moment to reach out.
For those of you not coming into the store - you can donate online to Daily Bread at our team page or drop off some canned goods in your local area.
