Big News!

Big News!

Big news - really big. You have no idea how truly, immensely colossally big. I mean, ginormous. We're not just talking large here, but fantazimickally humongous!
After over a decade at our current location, having expanded three times, multiple renovations, re-designs, etc., etc., we are taking the plunge and ... beadFX is moving to a new location!
(Sadly - no, for those of you who have asked - it's not Winnipeg, Calgary, or Barrie - as lovely as those places are ... .)
We have found a new building - and we will be doubling the amount of space - which means (drumroll please!) room for a lot more great stuff!
The time frame is mid-January as currently planned - as we need to get the renovations to the new space completed - but rest assured - we will be keeping you posted every step of the way!
What does all this mean to YOU?
  1. If you purchase only online - not much. There will be a slight delay in shipping when we actually move from one location to the other - we will be doing our best to minimize this!
  2. If you shop in person - we'll keep you notified. The new address is not very far from our current location - and for some of you, will be easier to get to - as it is closer to a bus stop, and closer to the DVP. And we'll still have lots of free parking!
  3. If you take classes - oh, wait till you see the new classroom!
  4. If you rent lampworking studio time - well - there may be a slight interruption in availability as we get the new studio built. But we will be adding a metal smithing studio as well!
In short - we are totally stoked about this - the new place is going to be so awesome - it has skylights for natural light - all the better to see the beads - more room, nicer neighbourhood.
It's going to be FABULOUS!

OK - on to the actual new products this week!

And, of course, more Toho 11/0s - because we WILL collect the whole set - and now we have the room to do it! (Happy dance!) You know, we wouldn't have needed a new place if Toho didn't keep adding new colours! Not that Toho is the only company guilty of that! (Yeah, Swarovski - I'm lookin' at you!)
s31199 Stone Beads - 6 mm Rondelle - Blue Apatite (strand)s31200 Stone Beads - 16 x 30 mm Large Hole Olive - Cappuccino Jasper (1)And if we haven't suc-"seeded" in enticing you so far - how about we break through your stony silence with stone beads! Maybe whet your appetite with this Blue Apatite?

Can I offer you a Cappuccino - Cappuccino Jasper that is! Maybe garner some interest with some Garnets? s31217 Stone Beads - 10 x 14 mm Puff Rectangle - Garnet (strand)
s31223 Stone Beads - 13 x 18 mm Rectangle - Tourmaline (strand)
s31226 Stone Beads - Honkin faceted roundish nugget - rose quartz (1)Turn your attention to some Tourmaline? Rise to the occasion with some Rose Quartz? Fire you up with some Fire Agate?
s31225 Stone Beads - 30 x 40 mm Rectangle - Fire Agate (1)
OR - how about this Labradorite - which is actually already strung into a necklace! We got a good price on them, and we were thinking that you could just take them apart for the beads, but the stringing job is not too bad in quality. Some of the stuff that is strung s31229 Stone Beads - 6 mm Faceted Rondelle Necklace - Labradorite (strand)overseas - well, let's just say you wouldn't want to trust your beads to it, and let it go at that. However, I snagged one of these for myself and have worn it a number of times without incident - so - no guarantees - but they seemed not too bad. s31236 Stone Beads - 12 mm Round - Golden Malachite (1)(Although - you can probably do better and be more creative!) But hey - whatever works!
Or - perhaps we can intrigue you with this Golden Malachite? I'm sure that this is a composite stone, along the lines of the Bronze-infused Purple Turquoise - however - the rich green with metallic patches, while it looks nothing like Malachite - is a very attractive stone. (Don't blame the name on me - I would have called it ... hmmm ... Celtic Lichenite. How's that sound? A rose by any other name ... . )

Ok. We know where you're not going to be landing but can you give a hint as to where in Toronto you'll be? Pretty please!
