New This Week!

Go Vintage!

s30511 Metal Stamping - Shinto Shrine Bezel - Antique Brass (1)More vintage and antique fun! Which is not to say we are playing croquet and sipping mint juleps here - although, that's not an altogether unattractive idea. (Not entirely clear that I think bourbon and mint is a good combo - sort of like scotch and toothpaste. Never been a big fan of mint, actually.)

s30515 Metal Stamping - Art Deco Metal Lion with Saucy Tongue - Antiqued Copper (1)Nope - it has to do with that vintage chic look, the "go old or go home" design school, the look of the brand-new yesteryear.

s30507 Metal Stamping - Merdragon Bezel - Antique Brass (1)We have some new vintage-y looking stuff, including this rather interesting bezel that I guess you have to fill up with something liquid, because there is no way to get a stone in there! (BTW - just tried mixing some of our MetalFX powders with the Ice Resin - the results totally rock. I'll be blogging about it in the future.)

s30506 Metal Stamping - Scarab - Antique Brass (1)Anyway - have a boo at our Vintage-Look page and check out the new stuff!

s30522 Bone/Resin - 48 mm Carved Wild Dragon - Antique Ivory (Simulated) (1)

Perhaps you'd care to continue that aged look, with these Gen-u-wine Sim-u-late-ted Antique Ivory Dragons. Hand carved from a resin that resembles ivory, you can s30526 Carved Resin Beads - Massive Mermaid on a Cabbage Leaf - Hand-Coloured (1)rest assured that no elephants, or dragons, were harmed in the making of these beads.

And, for something completely different, check out these MASSIVE carved beads. The base of the bead is carved and coloured to look like a cabbage leaf, and is pretty much the same size as a cabbage. Ok - that is a slight exaggeration. A small cabbage.

s30294 Stone Beads - 30 x 40 mm Oval - Red Tiger Eye (1)New stone of the month!

This month, we are featuring Red Tiger Eye! Like it's cousin, Tiger Eye, it has a distinctive shimmer to it. It resembles a polished, exotic wood, but has, of course, more weight and heft to it.

s30603 Calendar - Toronto Bead Society - 2011

Tis the time of year to start thinking calendars - and you'll want this one — featuring the fabulous creations of the Toronto Bead Society. Proceeds from the calendar go this year to AFCY — Arts for Children and Youth — an organization that engages young people from Toronto's under-serviced communities in meaningful arts education programs. Makes a great gift too.

So go ahead, click on a link or a picture above, or start with the Main Page, if you are feeling intrepid, (there is a LOT of stuff there), or chunk it down into bite-size portions by checking out the categories: Click on a link and go crazy!
